Tuttosport: Milan to work on playmaker after Bakayoko deal – Porto star remains No.1 target

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are working on close the signing of Tiemoue Bakyoko before they will focus on the attacking midfielder position, a report claims.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) writes that the eighth signing of Milan’s summer transfer window should be Bakayoko. The fact that Milan are letting Tommaso Pobega go to Torino makes it clear that only small details are now missing until the return of the Frenchman is made official.

In fact, Bakayoko is ready to reduce his salary to around €2.5m to help Milan and Chelsea find a meeting point, and tomorrow he could be in Italy to begin his medical with the Rossoneri ahead of what would be his second spell.

Once the Bakayoko deal is closed, the Rossoneri management will focus on the attacking midfielder position. The 28-year-old Jesus Corona remains an option as he has a contract expiring in 2022, but Porto must give 40% of the proceeds of any sale to Twente, so they are asking for €13-15m despite Milan’s €10m offer.

  1. I don’t really know much about Corona but I hope he’s worth it. My dream would be Vlasic and Faivre. I want them at Milan!
