Tuttosport: Milan line up Torino star as Krunic replacement as renewal stalls

There are doubts about the future of Rade Krunic, a report claims, which has forced the AC Milan management to look into possible replacements for the midfielder.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Krunic is being closely monitored by Fenerbahce. The first first contacts occurred during the last summer window but Stefano Pioli wanted to keep the player and a good enough offer did not come in.

However, the Turkish side are not giving up can also take advantage of the stand-by situation regarding his renewal. The Bosnian’s contract expires in 2025 and extension talks have stalled with Krunic wanting an increase from €1.5m net per season to €2.5m.

Therefore, it is not certain that we will be able to retain the player and they might be forced to sell him, but the management already have a name at the top of the list to replace him: Samuele Ricci.

The Torino regista was sought after by Lazio in the summer and he is on the list of possible Krunic replacements. If the Bosnian were to leave, even in January, Milan could swoop in on the Granata star.
