Tuttosport: Milan try to sell duo no longer deemed part of the plans to fund signings

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are looking to sell two players who are outside the plans of Stefano Pioli in order to fund some signings, according to a report.

According to reports from today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Milan will try to offload both Andrea Conti and Samu Castillejo in the final month of the summer transfer window. From their sales, the club would like to make some cash, so as to have more resources to close a few more incoming signings.

Finding buyers for the pair is easier said than done though, as both are not exactly at the peak of the valuation. Castillejo has been useful to Stefano Pioli since his arrival as head coach, but is not seen as a starter and was largely disappointing last season, while Conti has returned from a loan to Parma after years battling serious injuries. The futures of both will be resolved next week, one way or another.
