Tuttosport: Milan eyeing Valencia and Bologna stars to complete midfield

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan are trying to strike deals with Valencia and Bologna for Yunus Musah and Nicolas Dominguez to complete the new-look midfield ahead of the 2023/24 season, a report claims.

As has been reported by Tuttosport (via TMW), the Rossoneri are still not content with their midfield options and work is continuing for two more targets.

It is no secret that Milan are working hard to sign Musah from Valencia and many feel he is the final target for the midfield, but there is another name in the picture.

Bologna’s Dominguez has been loosely linked in the past with Milan, but he now has just one year left on his contract. That means he could be available for less than his real value.

He is willing to renew with Bologna, but he is also open to moving if a bid is accepted. A move for both midfielders cannot be ruled out.

  1. Pretty sure we won’t go for both of them, having 7 first team CMs would be a bit overkill. However, currently having four fit ones won’t allow for a sustainable 4-3-3 either, so we definitely need one other, either of those names I’d be happy with.

      1. Currently we have RLC, Reijnders, Pobega, Adli, and Krunic. Bennacer is injured long term – so we indeed only need 1 more – except if Adli will leave.

        1. If we sign Musah and Dominguez, it could mean that Pobega and Krunic could also be going to the exit door. That’s just my guess.

      2. I’m counting Pobega, Krunic, RLC and Reijnders. We also have Bennacer under contract, though I can’t imagine him playing at full fitness until February at the earliest.

Adli I consider an attacker (who needs to go out on loan).

    1. Exactly it’s the most stupid statement to even think we’ll be able to go for both of them, we’d need sales and even then I think they’d prioritise singo more

    2. It would be perfect. Dominguez & Krunic CM , RLC & Musah for RM and Reijnders & Pobega for the LM. Benna can play all the midfield roles and when he is fit again although he would be awesome in the middle pulling the strings. Pobega with all due respect to him is not of the same level(unless he improves this season )and will only be rotational.
Had Bennacer got injured earlier last season with our lack of depth in the middle, we would have got knocked out earlier in the CL and not made fifth place.

  2. I think one of those two would be enough. I prefer Dominguez for his playing style. Another physical striker and a versatile wing back that could operate in both flanks would be amazing 😍 🔴⚫

  3. If just one the Dominguez is more needed than Musah, cause they lack proper holding midfielder. We have enough box to box players.

Musah on the other hand is exciting profile and imo management perfer him for USA marketing reasons.

    1. No concrete action??? There is a month and a half of the transfer window left and they have already spent well over 100 million and have signed 6 new players, soon to be 7 with Chukwueze.
Are you not paying attention at all, or just like to complain?

  4. However the good attack (chuk, pul, leao, Giroud, Okafor). Midfield will determine the game. Bring Dominguez on 15 M than Musah on 25M. Why should we waste 25 M on a person who is not defensive yet defensive midfield is one of our problems. We don’t want multiple CDK cases please

  5. i don’t understand this obsession with Musah ?? even the guy on sempre milan podcast said he had watched all his matches last season and he had only 1 good game ?? no thanks, Dominguez fine but preferably Samuele Ricci, defensive, young, talented and knows the league.

    1. My picks were also Ricci and Amrabat/Dominguez for midfield after Tonali. I read somewhere Torino put a price in region of 25-30 millions on this kid.
