AC Milan are big admirers of Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech but there are two major obstacles standing in their way, according to a report.
Calciomercato.com recently reported that Ziyech remains the favoured target of Maldini and Massara, and they think the excellent relations they have with the leadership of Chelsea could help. The Moroccan is not considered essential by Thomas Tuchel and can leave, with Milan eyeing a loan with option to buy plus a buy-back set above €25m as per the source, and Giroud would welcome him.
This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) confirms that Milan ‘really like’ Ziyech given his quality and also his versatility as he can play both as a playmaker or on the wing, but there are two obstacles.
The first is linked to the fact that the Blues want to monetise from his possible sale, while the second concerns the African Cup of Nations, a competition in which other Rossoneri players will also participate meaning Milan would be without Kessie, Bennacer, Ballo-Toure and Ziyech in January.
Doesn’t matter.
When they leave we can change to a 3-1-4-2 but Pioli doesn’t see that.
Sign Ziyech man. He is probably the best choice by far now.
