Tuttosport: Adams, Gimenez, Guirassy – Milan working on multiple strikers

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan were hoping to get Luka Jovic back into his Eintracht Frankfurt form but that has not happened, leaving the management needing to intervene in the attacking department.

Tuttosport (via MilanNews) writes this morning that help is needed for Olivier Giroud because Jovic has been disappointing so far and the Frenchman cannot play every game at a high level at the age of 37.

Various profiles are being evaluated, with Akor Adams top of the list. The Nigerian striker plays in France for Montpellier and has already scored seven goals in Ligue 1 so far. He is 190cm tall, very strong physically, but also capable of exploiting open space with his speed and athleticism.

However, Montpellier do not seem very inclined to sell him in January and thus they have stated a valuation of around €20m at present, having paid €4.5m to sign him from Norwegian side Lillestrøm in the summer.

Milan do not want to be caught unprepared in the event that Adams does not move in January and are therefore also keeping an eye on other profiles, such as Santiago Gimenez of Feyenoord and Serhou Guirassy of Stuttgart.

The former has 13 goals in 9 games in the Eredivisie, while the latter has 15 goals in 9 games in the Bundesliga. Matija Popovic of Partizan Belgrade is also being targeted and an offer has been made, but he is a profile for the future.
