Tuttosport: Milan’s growth evident through ability to react, mentality and character

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have been on a real journey under head coach Stefano Pioli and this season they appear to have acquired additional qualities, a report claims.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) writes that Pioli’s Milan have been showing off improvements in their game in the first five fixtures of the season but the Rossoneri are also acquiring other qualities.

The first mentioned by the paper is character, because Milan are now a team which fights until the end of the final minute, who know how to suffer and who knows how to react to adversity. They showed this both in the Champions League game at Liverpool and on Sunday in the league in the match at Juventus.

Before the arrival of Pioli, Milan were very often accused of having little personality and of collapsing in the face of difficulties, but the signs are positive.

A winning mentality has been instilled by Pioli also thanks to the arrival of experienced players, meaning a leap has been made not just in quality terms but also in mentality. Now Milan are a real team that is able to compete with everyone in Italy and soon also in Europe.
