AC Milan still have a number of injuries that they must battle with as we head towards the business end of the season.
According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Stefano Pioli was without Calabria, Romagnoli, Rebic and Leao. Calabria is the player who will be out for longest as he will be operated on today after having suffered a medial meniscus injury to his right knee in the first leg match against United. He should be back towards the end of next month.
Rebic also had to stop once again due to a flare-up of an inflammation in his hip – the same problem that bothered him against Roma – but should not be out for a long amount of time.
Two muscle injuries forced Romagnoli and Leao to stop as the former suffered a first degree injury to his right calf, while the latter has a first degree injury to his left hamstring. The captain’s recovery times will not be very short, while it must be added that Mario Mandzukic should be back after the international break.
