Tuttosport: Milan’s mercato operations to rise above €65m as double signing is close

AC Milan are set to take their level of spending up even further by securing the returns of Brahim Diaz and Sandro Tonali, a report claims.

According to today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), the Rossoneri management are at work to strengthen the squad and are evaluating even the smallest expense with the utmost attention. Milan have already invested €46m into the market, which officially opens today, and nobody in Serie A has spent as much until now.

The latest €3m spent will go on the paid loan for Brahim Diaz, a player that the Milan will be able to sign permanently at the end of the 2021-22 season by paying another €19m to Los Blancos. Milan have completed €65m of operations in this market when adding the €15m (€13m plus €2m bonuses) for Mike Maignan plus the €28m to sign Fikayo Tomori permanently.

Maldini and Massara are also hoping to close the Sandro Tonali deal by tomorrow. Brescia should receive €10m in cash plus playmaker Giacomo Olzer as a counterpart, who is valued at €5m.
