Tuttosport: Milan’s partnership with Lille ‘important’ for the transfer market – the details

By Isak Möller -

Aiming to get back to the Champions League, Elliott and Ivan Gazidis are preparing for the umpteenth revolution at Milan this summer. In addition to the squad, a lot will most likely change within the management.

As reported by today’s edition of Tuttosport (via Milanlive.it), they are keen on bringing in Ralf Rangnick in an ‘Arsene Wenger role’, making him the manager and sporting director. In other words, he would have a lot of power.

Elliott want to bring the Red Bull model to Italy, adapting it to a different reality as anything associated with the Rossoneri comes with a lot more pressure. After all, who said that it would be easy.

Furthermore, Milan’s partnership with Ligue 1 team Lille – who Elliott have financially supported in the past – could also be important for the transfer market.

Just last summer, Rafael Leao joined from the French side, while Tiago Djalo went in the opposite direction. In the future, new transfer market operations between the two sides could materialize, benefitting them both.
