Tuttosport: Milan’s philosophy for the January window outlined – the latest on four targets

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are set to have a market in which they fine tune the squad with targeted investments rather than one where they spend big, a report claims.

As Tuttosport reports (via MilanNews), Paolo Maldini was clear in what the club’s strategy is for the upcoming window: if there is an opportunity at the right price, Milan will not back down and will invest, but without upsetting the balance.

The main objective remains a central defender, and it is perhaps no surprise that the main targets are still Simakan and Kabak. Strasbourg asks for €15million for the former, for whom Milan have offered €10m plus bonuses, while Schalke want €25m for Kabak which is too much.

A midfield signing cannot be excluded, always at the right conditions (technical and economic) and therefore Lille’s Boubakary Soumaré is a profile that is very popular.

In terms of the Gianluca Scamacca links, the track seems destined to go out after the statements made by the CEO of Sassuolo, Giovanni Carnevali: “We decided to send him on loan because next year he can be our protagonist” – a sign he is not on the market.
