Tuttosport: Who covered more distance between Inter and Milan’s internationals

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan and Inter had over 30 combined internationals that departed to represent their country, but it is Stefano Pioli’s men who are much less well-travelled.

A derby scheduled immediately after the end of the international break is not exactly ideal, because players from both teams will return from around the world before briefly preparing for the game.

As analysed in today’s edition of Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan), there was a cumulative distance of 92,742 kilometres travelled by the 17 Inter players called up for their respective national teams over the break.

It is a much bigger figure than Milan’s 14 call-ups who only travelled 56,555km in total. Juan Cuadrado travelled 8,672km to Barranquilla, to which must be added 4,957km to get to Santiago de Chile and 11,879km to return home.

The players that instead stand out among the Rossoneri ranks were Christian Pulisic and Yunus Musah. The USA forward and midfielder traveled a total of 15,833km. Then there is also Samuel Chukwueze, who with Nigeria journeyed 9,002km.
