Tuttosport: Napoli emerge as surprise suitors for Milan striker Piatek

By Oliver Fisher -

Gennaro Gattuso is interested with the idea of signing Krzysztof Piatek from AC Milan for his new side Napoli, according to a report.

La Gazzetta dello Sport claimed earlier on Friday that the arrival of Ibrahimovic could come at the expense of Piatek, whose future is ‘more uncertain than ever’ after having only arrived in January from Genoa for €38m.

The paper added that Fiorentina has emerged as a surprise possible destination for the Poland international, while Tuttosport (via TEAMtalk) reported that Bundesliga side RB Leipzig are looking at Piatek to replace Timo Werner.

According to Calciomercato.com – who cite the same outlet – Napoli have also now established themselves as a potential suitor as Gattuso could target a raid on his former club.

It has also been reported by numerous outlets that Gattuso may try and sign Ricardo Rodriguez for Napoli as well, with the pair having worked well together at Milan before Rino’s departure at the end of last season.
