Tuttosport: Napoli join race to land Milan midfielder with contract set to expire in June

By Oliver Fisher -

Napoli are interested in the idea of signing midfielder Giacomo Bonaventura on a free transfer at the end of the season, a report claims.

Bonaventura joined the Rossoneri from Atalanta six years ago, but with his current contract set to expire in June and no sign of an imminent renewal, it appears that he may move on.

Calciomercato.com reported earlier in the month that the 30-year-old’s future does not seem to be at Milan, as he has no place in the starting XI and his performances have dropped off since recovering from injury.

Bonaventura is waiting for a call from the club, but still no talks have been initiated with Mino Raiola over the possibility of a new deal, the report added.

According to Tuttosport, Gennaro Gattuso may try and look to reunite with Bonaventura at Napoli, as the Partenopei are interested in the idea of bringing him in on a free.

Fiorentina and Roma have also been linked with a move for the former Atalanta man in recent weeks, suggesting Jack will have no issues finding another club.
