Tuttosport: New-look attacking trio to get a chance vs. Calgiari as Pioli rotates

With so many games in quick succession, AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli plans to rotate the starting line-up to keep everyone fresh and tomorrow will be no exception.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Pioli will even do without Olivier Giroud and Rafael Leao against Cagliari from the start, two of his attacking leaders. Both will have a breather and initially start from the bench.

In their place Noah Okafor will play as the centre-forward and Christian Pulisic will be diverted to the left wing. On the right there should be an opportunity for Samuel Chukwueze who, like the Swiss striker, will have an important opportunity from the first minute.

With this new trident, Milan’s attack certainly loses a bit of physicality, but also definitely adds pace and speed to quickly attack the opponent’s half, which could be crucial given Claudio Ranieri’s side will probably try to frustrate.

Okafor has given positive responses in the segments of games he has played so far, but now he will have a big chance as a starter. Chukwueze on the other hand has already played once from the first minute, in the Champions League against Newcastle, but without convincing much.

Tomorrow will be a great opportunity for both of the forwards to show that the club were right to bet on them in the summer, especially the Nigerian who was the most expensive purchase.
