AC Milan have made some progress regarding the contract renewal of midfielder Franck Kessie, according to a report.
This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews) writes how in these two weeks without games due to the international break, the management are working on a number of renewals such as Gigio Donnarumma, Calhanoglu and Ibrahimovic – all of whom expire in June – but also Franck Kessie whose contract runs out in 2022.
The Ivorian’s agent George Atangana met the Milan management yesterday at the Rossoneri headquarters Casa Milan, and during the meeting it was revealed that Kessie already given his priority to Milan for some time and – given his excellent performances over the past year – the Rossoneri’s will is also clearly to move forward together.
The final agreement has not yet been found, but there is a cautious optimism. Milan presented their offer with a salary revised upwards compared to the €2.2m net per season that the former Atalanta man currently receives. In the coming weeks, new meetings are expected between the parties, in the hope of reaching a definitive agreement.
