The AC Milan coaching staff have raised the level of intensity in training to try and get the players up to top athletic condition, a report claims.
As this morning’s edition of Tuttosport writes (via MilanNews), after tonight the Rossoneri will have played 36 games in the last 161 days, so the physical effort exerted by the squad cannot be questioned. It is therefore normal to reach a physiological decline after such an intense period, and it is what we have perhaps seen in the first part of 2021.
Pioli, however, has repeatedly highlighted how the decline is not attributable to issues regarding the athletic condition of the team, but rather due more to the psychology of the recent moment. At Milanello, it is said that the intensity of the training has increased and that the work of the last sessions has been particularly tough.
The paper claims that this is to get back on track in view of the final push of the season.
