Tuttosport: Pioli asks Milan management for three signings – the positions and the targets

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli has asked the management to bring him reinforcements in three positions this summer, a report claims.

According to Tuttosport on Friday (via MilanNews), Milan are currently literally immersed in negotiations for the renewal of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, but they are also working on other fronts.

Pioli, in addition to Ibra’s renewal, has asked Maldini and Massara to purchase at least three other pieces to help try and complete the puzzle he is trying to build.

He has asked for a right-back, with the management evaluating Denzel Dumfries of PSV, Serge Aurier of Tottenham and Emerson Royal of Barcelona.

In addition, Pioli wants a new central defender who can rotate with Simon Kjaer and Alessio Romagnoli, with Nikola Milenkovic of Fiorentina at the top of the list.

Finally, the 54-year-old has asked for a midfielder who can replace Franck Kessié and Ismael Bennacer, with the favoured choice being Tiemoue Bakayoko of Chelsea.

Obviously, these additions will not be enough, especially if Milan were to reach the group stage of the Europa League. A right winger would also be useful, plus a deputy to Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
