Tuttosport: Pioli relying on attacking trio to solve Milan’s goalscoring issue

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan are yet to find the back of the net in the Champions League and that will have to change tonight, taking on PSG in front of a sold-out San Siro. Stefano Pioli, as a report highlights, is relying on the trio up front.

As Tuttosport highlights (via MilanNews), Milan have created many chances in the competition, firing a total of 50 shots (though only 14 of them on target). In short, they have lacked composure in the big moments and that will have to change tonight.

Christian Pulisic is back from his injury and will have to use the qualities he showcased above all at the start of the season. Rafael Leao, meanwhile, must live up to the No.10 shirt with a strong performance after a few disappointing weeks.

Should the wingers perform well, then it could be a good evening for Olivier Giroud as well. The Frenchman scored a brace against Napoli and that was all thanks to good service, which has been lacking in many games this season.

Pioli, as such, is relying on the trio to be at their best in the big game, in addition to a few tactical tweaks of course. In fact, it seems Tijjani Reijnders will be the deep-sitting midfielder tonight, with Rade Krunic benched.
