The AC Milan management want to continue with Stefano Pioli at the helm and they are planning a contract extension, according to a report.
According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Pioli’s journey at Milan is only at the beginning even though his contract is due to expire in June 2023. The Rossoneri have an option to extend his deal by one year, until 2024, but it is more likely that they negotiate a longer extension.
It is possible that in the coming days the head coach speaks with the management and puts pen on paper on a deal that is a formal extension by one year but also includes an option for the club to activate until 2025.
There is no doubting that the relationship between Milan and Pioli has been a fruitful one thus far, given the excellent work the head coach has done that culminated in the Scudetto drought being ended last season.
