AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli has tasked Rafael Leao with showing his best form after he struggled to make the required impact against Inter and Newcastle, a report claims.
As has been reported by Tuttosport (via Pianeta Milan), the coach wants to see a much better performance from Leao that features more end product.
Whilst he did score against Inter in the 5-1 defeat, he was nowhere near as effective as Milan need him to be.
Against Newcastle, his build-up play in the first half was excellent but he lacked end product, with his failed back-heel finish going viral on Tuesday evening.
There was never any suggestion that Pioli would drop Leao for the match against Verona on Saturday but he does want to see a better and more effective performance from the Portuguese forward.
There is set to be a change of shape which could change the way that Leao functions on the left wing.
We task Pioli to win UCL or step down.
Nvm then
Look, winning UCL with our current squad wouldn’t be a fair nor sensible task. One could argue that our team punched above our weight last season to be at the semi. If Pioli could reach another semi this season, it would already be a massive achievement IMHO.
I’d take him aside and go like ‘ look rafa next match you socre or you sit’
See what happens. if the boi shows hunger you got a winner if not you got a poser
