Tuttosport: Pioli has three major selection doubts ahead of PSG clash

By Euan Burns -

Stefano Pioli has got three positions to consider in his AC Milan team ahead of the Champions League match against Paris Saint-Germain, a report claims.

As has been reported by Tuttosport (via Pianeta Milan), the Milan coach is welcoming back players such as Theo Hernandez and Mike Maignan from suspension who will slot straight into the starting eleven.

It is not that simple for other parts of the team, with three major battles going on in training.

One of them is at right-back, where Pioli could opt to use the newly fit Pierre Kalulu instead of Davide Calabria. The two other battles are in midfield.

As for the midfielder in the centre of the three, that could be either Yacine Adli, or the recovered Rade Krunic who has long been Pioli’s favourite in that role.

Finally, the coach could use either Yunus Musah or Tommaso Pobega on one side of the central midfielder.

  1. Reijnders and musah are overused and visibly tired. It’s Pobega time. Unfortunately Giroud also plays… again. Pioli using him like he’s 27, not 37.
