Tuttosport: Pioli spoke to players before training at Milanello and asked for two things

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli has asked his team for two things in order to overcome the current bad run of form, according to a report.

This year Stefano Pioli’s side are obtaining 1.76 points per game average, which is sixth-best in the league. Atalanta (2.36), Inter (2.3), Juve (2.27), Lazio (2.2) and Roma (1.81) are all ahead in that regard.

The win against Roma seemed to have brought calmness to the whole group, but Wednesday’s draw against Udinese showed that the difficult moment has not yet been overcome.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), yesterday training resumed at Milanello after the disappointing draw against Udinese. The newspaper claims that Pioli spoke to the team on the back of the result, and during the discussion he asked for a different approach to the next matches and greater determination on the pitch.

Milan will be back in action again on Sunday, when they face the tricky trip to play Hellas Verona.

  1. Pioli should change the 1 top play in the absence of Zlatan and Mandzukic and choose two or three top to put more in opponents box, these last days even with Zlatan the team struggles with 1 top and without him hmmm,he needs to change tactics to suit all his players and not force some to play where they’re uncomfortable
