Tuttosport: Pioli’s stay at Milan will not coincide with Boban’s return – the reasons why

Despite the remarkable news at AC Milan of the last 24 hours, there is reportedly no chance of Zvonimir Boban returning to the club.

The former Chief Football Officer was fired by CEO Ivan Gazidis back March 7 2020 after an unauthorised interview released to La Gazzetta dello Sport in which the Croatian manager revealed that an agreement was in place with Ralf Rangnick.

During their statement, Milan confirmed that they had dismissed Boban essentially on the grounds of ‘just cause’, something never digested by the former player who immediately decided to resort with legal proceedings.

Nonetheless, it was confirmed on Tuesday night after Milan’s 2-1 win over Sassuolo that Stefano Pioli will be the man to lead the club forward and not Rangnick, leading to whispers that Boban could be invited back to join Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara once again.

However, Tuttosport (via MilanNews) are reporting this morning that there is no chance of the Croatian coming back to Milan as his conduct in response merely to rumours was unacceptable, in addition to the fact there were other internal disagreements.
