There were mostly positive performances from the AC Milan team during last night’s 2-0 win against Venezia despite the battle they faced.
Milan certainly found it tough for the opening 45 minutes as Venezia came to try and frustrate, not necessarily by parking the bus but rather by disrupting build-up play with two very solid banks, and it took some inspired changes to unlock Paolo Zanetti’s side.
The newspaper Tuttosport (via MilanNews) have published their player ratings this morning, giving Theo Hernandez a score of 7.5 out of 10 and the title of man of the match for his impact after coming on, which included an assist and a goal.
Alexis Saelemaekers also did very well (7), while half a mark less (6.5) was given to Pierre Kalulu, Alessio Romagnoli, Ismael Bennacer, Sandro Tonali and Brahim Diaz.
A 6 was given to Mike Maignan, Matteo Gabbia, Fikayo Tomori, Rafael Leao and Franck Kessie, while the only duo to disappoint were Fode Ballo-Touré and Alessandro Florenzi (5.5 each for them).
