Santiago Gimenez is being monitored by some Premier League teams, according to a report, after what was a slow first six months at AC Milan.
Halfway into the 2024-25 season, Milan realised that reinforcements were needed to even stand a chance of finishing in the top four. As such, money was (finally) invested in a No.9 as Gimenez arrived from Feyenoord in a deal worth around €30m.

However, although the Mexican scored three goals and got an assist in his first five games, it was a tough first six months at the club. A minor injury/discomfort prevented him from being in top condition, while Tammy Abraham and Luka Jovic suddenly started performing as well.
According to Tuttosport this morning (via MilanNews), all of the above has resulted in some question marks regarding Gimenez’s future. Prior to joining Milan, there was concrete interest in the Premier League and that has remained, with multiple clubs keeping tabs on his situation.

Milan still believe a lot in the player, convinced that he can become a great resource under Max Allegri’s guidance, but his permanence cannot be guaranteed. Especially in the event of a hefty offer from a Premier League club.
By the sounds of it, however, Milan want to add another striker to play alongside/alternate with Gimenez. Abraham will return to Roma, Jovic’s contract will not be extended and Francesco Camarda is set to head out on loan. That leaves just Gimenez, as such, and another signing would complete the department.

Why does Tuttosport want Gimenez out of Milan? 🤔. Are they afraid that he will explode next year or do they want Juventus to bring Vlahovic to Milan, and Allegri is behind everything.
We’ll run out of striker if Santi, Leao, Chuk and Pulisic out also. But if Immobile, Mitrovic, or Daydreaming Gyokeres/Isak can be signed then it’ll be allrighto.
35M too much for back up striker if bringing in Dusan or even less likely Kean. Sell him and Salamaekers sign and extend Tammy to lower his wages >Colombo is your third striker. Free up some money to strengthen the defense. Could go for Calafiori especially if Crystal Palace come for Pavlovic if Guehi departs. More Italian team Colombo,Gabbia Leoni Calafiori.
Wow. This is awful advice. Colombo lmao are you kidding? And Tammy is gone. Colombo sucks.
Lmao some on here already saying sell him and do all this other fantasy football nonsense. Santiago isn’t going anywhere.
Dear fans of Milan, it will be clear to you by the autumn what kind of fraud they made with the clowns Tara and Allegri. Either they will abuse them or they will let them prove to you that not only Furlani and Moncada are wrong.
Giminez has a per 90 of 0.68 goals for his first 6 months at a totally new club, new environment, new league etc. How on earth is that not good? On that form, it extrapolates to 26 goals if he had a full season – which is Capocannoniere form. What the hay! And I’m not even fond of his transfer but come on guys!
