Tuttosport: Probable Milan XI to face Red Star – chances for Gabbia, Meite and Krunic

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli is likely to adopt the route of cautious rotation in view of tomorrow night’s game against Red Star, a report claims.

Milan fell to their first away league defeat of the season as they were beaten 2-0 by Spezia by Spezia on Saturday and they will have to respond well in Belgrade to regain some confidence ahead of Sunday’s derby.

Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan) predicts the line-up with which Milan will face the Red Star, and confirms the 4-2-3-1 therefore dismissing any chance of a possible two-striker formation.

Donnarumma will be in goal while Diogo Dalot is expected to be the right-back with Matteo Gabbia and Fikayo Tomori in the centre of defence and Theo Hernández on the left. It is not excluded, however, that after today’s training they may change the choices regarding the centre-backs.

In midfield, Soualiho Meïte seems sure of a starting spot and one of Ismaël Bennacer or Sandro Tonali will partner him. Samu Castillejo, Rade Krunić and Ante Rebić are expected to be behind the centre-forward Mario Mandžukić .

Probable Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Donnarumma; Dalot, Gabbia, Tomori, Theo Hernández; Bennacer (Tonali), Meïte; Castillejo, Krunić, Rebić; Mandžukić.
