Tuttosport: Real Madrid offer teenager to Milan who seek formula guarantees

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have been offered the chance to sign Arda Güler from Real Madrid in view of the summer window but they want guarantees before they explore a deal, according to a report.

Güler was heavily linked with Milan during the last summer transfer window but ended up joining Real Madrid instead. Eight months later, the Turkish playmaker could leave the Bernabeu side due to a lack of playing time, having battled injuries and strong competition.

According to this morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Los Blancos have offered Güler to Milan because they hope to repeat the operation that saw Brahim Diaz spend three years on loan at the Rossoneri before returning to Spain.

For now it’s just an idea and there is nothing concrete yet. Milan are in principle open to having discussions about the arrival of the teenager, but they want more favourable conditions in the operation compared to those involving Brahim.

As a reminder, Brahim Diaz joined Milan on an initial one-year loan deal from Real and then returned on a two-year loan. There was an option to buy valid last summer, but the LaLiga giants had a buy-back which made it obvious he would go back there.

We reported at the time that Milan were keen on keeping Brahim but Real Madrid never really opened to re-negotiating the agreement, and thus he went back last June.
