Tuttosport: Rebic prepares for final effort in No.9 role – key for Milan vs. Atalanta

By Isak Möller -

Ante Rebic will start up front for AC Milan this evening as they will take on Atalanta away from home. Olivier Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are both injured, leaving the Croatian with a lot of responsibility.

As highlighted by today’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Rebic will make his last effort (hopefully) in the No.9 role as the aforementioned duo should be ready after the international break. And the No.12 will need a good performance.

Stefano Pioli knows the player well and trusts him a lot. We all know that Rebic works his butt off each game, never afraid to get stuck in. With that said, the games against Spezia and Atletico weren’t that successful for him, so he needs to bounce back.

He has, however, played all eight of Milan’s game this season (six times as a starter) and he has two goals and two assists to show for it. Above all, though, he has played well in the big games and that is what the Rossoneri need tonight.
