Tuttosport: Romagnoli yet to sign Milan renewal – decisive contacts scheduled

In addition to Franck Kessie, AC Milan are also working on the renewal of Alessio Romagnoli, whose contract will expire in the summer. However, they have been able to get his signature thus far.

The centre-back will miss out on tonight’s game between the Rossoneri and Roma as he has tested positive for Covid-19. Far from ideal for Stefano Pioli and Milan, who are experiencing a defensive crisis of sorts.

Back to his renewal, Tuttosport (via MilanNews) are reporting that the negotiations are currently on standby. Milan have made the first offer to the captain, who made it clear that he’s willing to take a pay cut from the current €5.5m per year.

In the coming weeks, there will be new contacts between the parties to take stock of the situation. The offer and demand will be discussed again and should they fail to reach an agreement, then Romagnoli will leave for free in the summer.
