Tuttosport: One year left and a reasonable salary – Milan dream about Man City star

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan could have new owners for next season as Investcorp are in advanced talks with Elliott Management over a takeover. The Bahrain-based fund, should they take over, want to make a statement signing this summer.

Investcorp could be announced as the new owners at the end of the season and although they will follow the path of Elliott, one statement signing could be made. Riyad Mahrez appears to be the dream of Investcorp.

According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), the Algerian has one year left on his contract with Man City and he earns just over €6m. A high salary, no doubt, but not far from what Milan could offer for such a top player.

Investcorp, as said, don’t intend to go on a spending spree this summer but would like to give the Rossoneri fans a gift for what hopefully will be a successful tenure. Mahrez, therefore, has been labelled as the dream of the club.

  1. I think Raphinha from Leeds could be a perfect sign for our right wing. He is still pretty young (25yo). And shows good results even with relatively weak team.

  2. Not super impressed but he still would be an upgrade at RW so I’m not against this move as long as the money is reasonable.

    1. Đồng ý. Tôi cũng không ấn tượng về năng lượng anh ấy khi thi đấu. Tôi hy vọng là tôi đang sai.

  3. Why? He’s 31 and hasn’t won that much. Get Asensio instead. Real Madrid pedigree, a zillion trophies and still 26.

    1. Guys you all forget as Maurer gets older, he won’t become much more weak or slow than he is now, all his strengths are technical plus he is heaps better than berardi

  4. I would of liked him 2-3 year’s ago but now he’s a temporary solution.

Raphinha(pure RW) and Richarlison ( can play anywhere forward) should be looked at.
