Tuttosport: Serie A club getting close to signing Milan midfielder on loan

By Euan Burns -

Serie A side Salernitana are getting closer to securing a loan deal for AC Milan midfielder Yacine Adli who has had very little involvement this season under Stefano Pioli, a report claims.

As has been reported by Tuttosport (via Milan News), Adli is very keen to play regular football and that is also what Milan would like for the youngster.

One of the major factors in him getting closer to Salernitana is that Paulo Sousa is the coach, who worked with Adli at Bordeaux. The pair got on well and there is a belief that Sousa could help Adli find his confidence again.

Milan signed Adli at the start of the 2021/22 season but immediately loaned him back to Bordeaux for a year. He is now in his first season at Milan but has only played a handful of times, mostly from the bench.

Salernitana recently secured their Serie A status for another year.

  1. it has been a mistake not to play him, he did great in the pre-season, and he has looked interesting the few times we have seen him – why not give the guy a shot – especially since Diaz struggles

    1. I agree with you. Given enough time, I feel he wil be better than both Diaz and Charles.

I still don’t understand Pioli’s issue with the guy.

        1. “pioli had seen him enough.”

And Pioli hasn’t seen enough CDK & Origi to know they will not do anything good for the team? I mean, even an idiot would learn from 10-15 matches that the duo cannot score even if their life depended on it but Pioli can’t. And you trust “Pioli had seen him enough”. LOL. Yeah right, Pioli cleeeeeeeeeeearly knows best these things. The evidence is there. LOL.

  2. This loan in a Serie A club is the best for him to improve more and prove his qualities any idea of loaning him to another league or Italian lower division would be a bad idea.

I wish him good luck and more confidence. We are waiting for him.

  3. His corner kicks against Spezia were amazing, Tonali and Bennacer couldn’t provide a quality delivery all these years.

    1. I bet the other Milan-players were shocked to see the ball going past the first two opponents. We hadn’t seen that happening for years.

  4. I don’t know why pioli doesn’t like him
I think if this guy is given better chance he would do better than CDK and Diaz
I just pray Milan don’t waste Money on Diaz 🙏🙏🙏

  5. IF CDK deserves the time then why not Adli too? Pricetag? How about considering this: Develop Adli into a good midfielder and his price goes up to e.g. 30-40M€. That’s making his value rise 3-4x bigger than what they paid for. And how about CDK. How do we raise his value as much? Will he ever be worth over 100M€? Based on this season… LOL. Nope.
