Tuttosport: The signings have arrived and now Pioli must get to work

AC Milan have made eight signings on the transfer market this summer and starting today, Stefano Pioli will have all of them at his disposal. Therefore, it’s now up to the manager to get things going.

The pre-season friendlies in the US highlighted some concerns for Milan, above all in defence, and this is something Pioli must work on. As stated by Tuttosport (via MilanNews), not a single signing has been made for that department, though.

However, Pioli doesn’t have time to wait for additional reinforcements and will need to get to work immediately. Milan will play four more friendlies before the season opener against Bologna and the manager will now also have Yunus Musah and Samuel Chukwueze at his disposal. The first training session back at Milanello is scheduled for this afternoon.

Noah Okafor, who was in the States with the team, should also be ready to start training with his new teammates after recently recovering from an injury. In other words, Pioli will be able to test new ideas in the 4-3-3 formation and regardless of the defensive concerns, he has no excuses.
