Tuttosport: Tatarusanu and Tonali were the flops in Milan’s clash vs. Panathinaikos

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan ended their pre-season tour on a good note as they beat Panathinaikos by two goals to one last night. Several players impressed but there were also a few disappointments for the Rossoneri.

Today’s edition of Tuttosport, as you can see below, took stock of the performances of the Milan players last night. As said, a few impressed (which you can read about here) but there were some disappointments.

Ciprian Tatarusanu was one of the flops, as he was in the mood for gifts. The goalkeeper made a huge mistake that resulted in a goal for the Greek side and questions have to be asked about his suitability as the backup goalkeeper.

The other player that failed to impress was Sandro Tonali, who didn’t make the most of Franck Kessie’s injury. He played the game without giving the impression of wanting to step up, as the newspaper describes it.

  1. Disagree, they just want Tonali to leave and go to Juve, he’s been great this preseason and you can see him improving his confidence every game. Future world class players here, don’t listen to biased tuttosport, doubt they even watched bc IMO Tonali was one of the bright spots yesterday.

  2. What?! Tuttosport should just focus on their daddy club Juventus and leave Milan alone. I often criticize Tonali but he was actually pretty good last night. He was calm and composed, did what was asked of him without mistakes.

I already shudder at the thought of Tatarusanu playing in our Coppa matches though.

  3. Just because Tonali has a hairstyle similar to Pirlo, it doesn’t mean he should play on his level. He played well yesterday.
