Tuttosport: The pros and cons of Ibrahimovic staying at Milan – when the decision will arrive

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is destined to leave AC Milan at the end of the current season, a report claims, but it is something the club may come to regret.

Sunday’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanLive) warns Milan that even at 38 years of age, Ibrahimovic has delivered a huge impact on and off the field. However, CEO Ivan Gazidis seems to have already decided: in his future project there is no room for the Swede, who “brings with her a suitcase full of vanity, self-exaltation and a very high salary”.

After the dismissal of Zvonimir Boban, the chances of Ibrahimovic staying for another season dropped dramatically and they have fallen even further with the rumours regarding the arrival of Ralf Rangnick on the bench. The German would bring with him a different mentality and would focus on many young less experienced players.

The final reflections will be made calmly, after the end of the Coronavirus emergency. However Milan (and Gazidis) will have to look at the pros and cons and whether to keep a leaders but an expensive one, or do without his public prestige.
