Over the past 24 hours, news has emerged claiming that Theo Hernandez is a target for Bayern Munich as they expect to have to buy a left-back this summer.
This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan) also predict that Bayern will lose Alphonso Davies in the summer, who is in the sights of Real Madrid and whose contract expires on 30 June 2025.
If Los Blancos presented a significant offer for him, the Bundesliga champions would sell him and with the proceeds they would be ready to make a move for Theo.
Milan meanwhile know that big offers are likely to arrive for their top players next summer, but they have a counter-plan to try and keep Theo Hernández, whose deal will expire on 30 June 2026.
In the next few weeks, Milan will have contact with Theo’s entourage to understand the terms of a possible contract renewal with a pay rise to reflect his status as an elite performer in his position.
Much will depend on the player himself, though. If the Frenchman does not show signs of openness to a constructive conversation with Milan, then Bayern would be invited to make an offer.
The Sandro Tonali case last summer shows there is little room for sentimentality, given that the fan favourite was sold to Newcastle for €70m.
Theo Hernández currently has a valuation close to €100m, but an offer of around €80m could bring Giorgio Furlani and Geoffrey Moncada to the negotiating table, be that a bid from Bayern Munich or other clubs.
That figure’s too low for our unique LB. We have to get 100m sign best italian replacement like Di Marco or the cheaper Calafiori.
Agreed. Theo is among the best in the world and id cry more about him than Leao leaving.
This ownership will sell the best players and will only bring the scrap. History repeating itself from chinese ownership
Furlani already said that no players are off limit. So, i expect Theo, Mike, Leao, and Tomori will be sold this summer.
The fact that Bayern aren’t going after DiMarco should tell us something. Theo is easily one of the best LB’s in the world. Why would we entertain his departure for close to Tonali money when Tonali was NOT the best in his position?
Theo has become Milan through and through. Of the stars in the team I would hate to see him go the most. Maybe I’m biased, but if his price tag is 100mil then only entertain offers of 100mil+
What’s this “80mil is a starting point” BS?
