Tuttosport: Tonali knows what Milan require as Pioli implements him without haste

By Isak Möller -

Sandro Tonali continues to grow for each day and game that passes, allowed to work without pressure at Milan. And with this, his playing time with the team has gradually increased, which is a positive sign.

As reported by Tuttosport (via MilanNews.it), this first month and a half with the Rossoneri helped the former Brescia midfielder to realize what Milan require and how much weight the shirt he loves has.

The path to becoming a starting midfielder is long and difficult. Especially if you’re 20-years-old and have little experience at certain levels. Not to mention Serie A, although Tonali did play the full season with Brescia last term.

That being said, the presence of top-level players in the squad is fundamental as it has allowed Pioli to avoid pressuring Tonali. The manager, in fact, can afford to wait for the youngster, to let him play calmly, when needed.

Tonali himself can take advantage of the situation, avoiding going too fast. As mentioned, Ismael Bennacer and Franck Kessie guarantee him the time necessary to settle down, grow and establish himself.
