Tuttosport: Tonali puts first season difficulties behind him and looks ready to explode

By Oliver Fisher -

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport was full of praise for AC Milan midfielder Sandro Tonali after the way he has started the season.

The newspaper today (via MilanNews) focuses on the 21-year-old midfielder with a section titled: “Tonali has taken Milan”. After a first season with some difficulties including inconsistency after a shortened preseason preparation, some good signs have begun to emerge.

The young midfielder became a permanent Rossoneri player in the summer as Brescia agreed to reduce the fee and Tonali also took a salary cut to facilitate the operation. He has started the new season in a great way, scoring his first Milan goal on Sunday against Cagliari with a great free-kick.

The paper believes that Tonali is ready to finally make the long-awaited leap in quality and prove that he is not only ready for a spot in the squad at a club like Milan, but that he will challenge for a key role.
