Tuttosport: Torino knock for Vasquez but Serie B option preferred

By Ben Dixon -

The need for departures in the mercato is just as important as arrivals for AC Milan, and Devis Vasquez would like a move to a division below rather than a move to Torino, according to a report.

For Vasquez, chances have been hard to come by in the Primavera squad, let alone the senior team, and it does not seem like this will change, so an exit in the summer is anticipated, but how it will be conducted remains to be seen.

With young players, it is all about potential, and with Vasquez, he is not preferred among the youth ranks, but he has had interest from several second-division sides in Italy and beyond, such as when he moved to Sheffield Wednesday last season.

However, there is also interest from Serie A, according to a report from Tuttosport (via Milan News). They suggest that Torino are interested in the young shot-stopper and could see him as a deputy to Milinkovic-Savic, moving on loan but potentially with an option to buy.

For Vasquez, though, he would rather have a guarantee of playing time so he could return to Serie B, where there is a host of interest, most notably from Spezia, and with the club willing to buy him outright, rather than another loan deal, it gives him security on his future.

  1. Maybe with Milan Futuro as a Strarter will be more ideal for him. Lapo Nava as 3rd gk with AC Milan. Nava will be needed for the list of Acedemy players. Keith 🇲🇹

  2. Milan Futuro is in serie C. Devis Vazquez is too good for that. It’s a waste for him to play in serie C… especially when there’s host of serie B, even serie A teams that interested in him.

Lapo Nava at first team won’t change anything, the homegrown player list only include players older than 21. He is still 20, he will be included at the list in 2 years…
