Tuttosport: Torino star Belotti hesitant despite hefty offer from Zenit – Milan observe

By Isak Möller -

Milan are interested in bringing in a young striker to complete the attacking department. Of course, Andrea Belotti doesn’t exactly fit into that category, but he remains an option for the future for the Rossoneri.

Belotti’s contract with Torino will expire in 2022 and there is no renewal in sight. The striker, therefore, seems destined to leave this summer. According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Zenit have put €30m on the table for his services.

The striker, however, would prefer to stay in Italy and is currently waiting to see if other solutions will arise. The salary at Zenit would be very high but the 27-year-old hasn’t opened up to the move as of now.

Milan are very interested in signing Belotti on a free transfer and the striker would jump on the opportunity, seeing as he’s a boyhood Rossoneri fan. However, everything could change very quickly for the Italian international.

  1. If we cant get him this summer on a cheap discount which seems highly unlikely i’ll hope he makes his intentions clear to cairo that he only want to join us and then we either sign him on free next summer or then get him vastly discounted in january. I would be really disapointed to see him joining any other teams than us but i’d be especially disapointed seeing him join a russian team. Anyways cairo cant force him joining any teams and with the loyalty he has shown both torino and cairo by signing a long term contract in 2016 when he was swimming in offers then its time torino to show the same respect as he should follow his heart and not waste his best years in zenit.
