Tuttosport: Two names stand out in Milan’s playmaker search – talks with Chelsea expected

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are monitoring two tracks in particular who could reinforce the attacking department, according to a report.

This morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via NotizieMilan) writes that the Rossoneri are keeping an eye on Josip Ilicic of Atalanta and Hakim Ziyech of Chelsea as they are two profiles that the management hold in sight esteem.

As per the paper, the tracks leading to Ilicic and Ziyech remain hot. For the Slovenia international, no offer has yet been presented to Atalanta, who values him at €6m, though he is expected to leave given that his relationship with head coach Gian Piero Gasperini appears to turn sour.

The Moroccan attacking midfielder is the favoured target given his flexibility and international experience, and it is expected that Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara will resume talks with Chelsea next month to see if it is possible that a loan deal could be explored.
