Tuttosport: The two reasons Milan have gone cold on Spurs defender

AC Milan have gone cold on the idea of signing Emerson Royal from Spurs and there are two reasons behind this, according to a report.

Recently it was reported that Milan’s offer of €14m for the Brazilian full-back was rejected, with Tottenham asking for quite a bit more. Since then, the Rossoneri have been evaluating their options and weighing up what to do next.

According to what is being reported by Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Milan were in talks over the signing of Emerson Royal from Spurs for the right-back role but now if seems that they have frozen their pursuit.

There are two major reasons why the management have gone cold. The first is that Tottenham’s asking price is considered too high by Geoffrey Moncada and co. because they are demanding €20m.

The other factor is that Pierre Kalulu is giving positive signs at Milanello in the right-back role, where the new head coach Paulo Fonseca is alternating him with the captain Davide Calabria and likes what he has seen.

It has been reported by several sources that Royal wants the move to Milan and has already agreed personal terms, but it might be that his wishes do not become reality.
