AC Milan claimed yet another three points last night and Rafael Leao was one of the heroes with two assists. The Portuguese winger once again showed how important he is for this team, as highlighted in today’s papers.
Leao has indeed started the season in a very good fashion with three goals and three assists in seven games. Once again, it has become clear that he’s the star of this Milan team, even if Noah Okafor and Christian Pulisic have also stepped up in his role.
On a good day, as highlighted by Tuttosport (via MilanNews), no one can match the qualities of the Portuguese winger. On the other hand, it’s also clear that he struggles with consistency within the games, often having lapses of concentration.
Yesterday was another example of that, as he was nowhere near as effective in the first half. This matters little since the final score ended up being 2-0 thanks to Leao, but he still has another level to reach and that is very exciting.
Milan will need him in a good mood on Wednesday evening, as they will take on Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.
