Tuttosport: Villarreal defender on Milan’s list of targets after previous business

The transfer window only slammed shut on Friday, but speculation continues to swirl about gaps in the AC Milan squad that were perhaps not addressed.

According to Tuttosport (via PianetaMilan) this morning, the management duo Giorgio Furlani and Geoffrey Moncada know there are still a couple of spots in the squad that need upgrading, and one of them is the left-back role.

Fode Ballo-Toure’s exit was only sealed after the deadline had passed for new signings in Italy, so Milan were forced to stick with internal solutions to deputise Theo Hernandez, like Alessandro Florenzi (moving across from the right) or Primavera star Davide Bartesaghi.

The paper claims that the Rossoneri will dip back into the market when it reopens to try and get a new left-back, and Juan Miranda of Real Betis is on their list.

The second name however is a new one: Alfonso Pedraza of Villarreal. The 27-year-old would arrive from a club Milan have done business with recently, after the Matteo Gabbia and Samuel Chukwueze operations over the summer.
