Tuttosport: One ‘warm’, one ‘tick’ – Milan leaning towards third striker

By Ben Dixon -

The road to Alvaro Morata is seemingly near its end, but it is not the only road in the attacking department AC Milan are looking to take, and it appears they are reaching a verdict.

Reports from earlier today have suggested that the links to Memphis Depay may remain just there, with his price being too high for Milan to consider, and if this is the case, it would be between two others.

Those would be Tammy Abraham and Niclas Fullkrug, who offer different age profiles, but goals at a fantastic rate.

According to a report from Tuttosport (via Milan News), the signing of Morata is liked for several reasons, and one of them is the fact that it facilitates the signing of another striker, but which one it will be, remains up in the air. However, there may be a preference forming.

The report suggests that the links to Abraham are ‘warm’, but the links to Fullkrug are a ‘tick’ among the management, and it is becoming more than an idea, especially considering that contact has been made with his entourage – Borussia Dortmund are expected to be contacted this week to seek a price, and potentially, an agreement between the two clubs.

  1. BvB bought him for 17mil. How much do they plan on selling him for?

I don’t think Fullkrug moves. They will convince him to stay.

  2. Honestly the sensible thing to do is to take Abraham, he is younger and more mobile, and will serve us better, it won’t make sense to buy two 31year old strikers at a go, we need a striker for the future, besides Fullkrug is too similar to Morata..,
