Tuttosport: Winger’s exit would have facilitated further negotiations but no offer has arrived

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have been left frustrated in their inability to sell Samu Castillejo, a report claims, as it has blocked some potential signings.

When Stefano Pioli arrived as the head coach, Castillejo had his brightest spell in a Milan shirt as he took over the starting spot from Suso and seemed to offer more of a threat, but since then his performances have gone downhill and now he is not considered to be a key player.

According to this morning’s edition of Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Castillejo’s departure would have facilitated some negotiations on the market by providing valuable extra liquidity with which to reinforce the squad further and also by freeing up a spot in the squad.

The Spanish winger is on the list of players who can leave for the right price but Getafe – the only club that have shown some interest in the player – have not yet provided a concrete written offer.

    1. that’s a good one, but that would only up our offer to 5.000.001$/season
I doubt one dollar extra per season would change his mind

    1. the problem with that is that on your accounting sheets, you’d suddenly get a big fat -8mil, which would make the sale of Hauge even dumber as that’s how much he’ll bring in for us

I’d really hate the thought of us selling Hauge so we can just balance our books for our refusing-to-depart spaniard
