Two Milan players who deserved better treatment at the World Cup

By Isak Möller -

The World Cup in Qatar is nearing its end. There are only four games left, and there are many Surebets on the internet: two semifinals, the game for third place, and the final.

Many Milan players had a wonderful time in Qatar, like Giroud, for example. But there are also those who definitely deserved better treatment at this World Cup. Today, we are going to discuss those talented players and give them the tribute they deserve. Here are the three Milan players who deserved better at this World Cup.

Rafael Leão

It is safe to say that this incredible young player deserved better than he got at the World Cup in Qatar. Leao played five matches, but he only got a chance to come in from the bench at the end of the games. He used those minutes the best way he could by scoring two beautiful goals.

He scored many goals like those two playing for Milan, but somehow the Portugal coach did not realize that Rafael Leão is the secret weapon for his national team. Even when Portugal struggled with creativity on the pitch against teams like Marocco, the coach did not use him. This talented and creative player definitely deserved better treatment. Many people say that was the reason why Portugal lost.

Fikayo Tomori

One of the things that annoyed the English fans the most was that Gareth Southgate did not invite Fikayo Tomori to this World Cup. The England national team often showed that they are rather vulnerable at the back. But, the coach ignored the excellent form Fikayo Tomori was in last season when he won the Serie A with Milan.

People expected Gareth Southgate to invite Fikayo Tomori to this World Cup, but he opted for others. Sure, the defence was not the most significant issue England had at this World Cup, but we need to say that Fikayo Tomori definitely deserved better treatment from Southgate.

Giroud is thriving

When it comes to Milan players at this World Cup, some of them are thriving. The one who stole our hearts, once again, is Olivier Giroud. As you know, Benzema and Nkunku got injured right before the World Cup, and this wonderful man took the responsibility of the central striker for the team. He has scored four goals and has a chance to be the top scorer at the World Cup.
