TyC Sports: Milan could secure deal for River Plate star by leaving him on loan

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan have recently expressed their interest in River Plate midfielder Enzo Fernandez and it seems they could be in pole position. In fact, they are willing to leave him on a short-term loan, a report claims.

Yesterday evening, Gianluca Di Marzio reported that Fernandez is waiting for Milan while they are figuring out the contracts for Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara. In other words, he’s keen on the move and he doesn’t have an outrageous price tag.

According to TyC Sports journalist Juan Cortese, Wolves have tried hard to sign the midfielder but were unable to reach an agreement. They were willing to pay the €18m clause, but most likely couldn’t agree with the player.

Milan and Benfica, on the other hand, have come in with lower offers but are willing to leave Fernandez at the club on loan until the end of November. That means he would be able to finish the season with River Plate, which is probably what Wrnandezolves didn’t agree to.
