TyC Sports: Milan and Man Utd scouting teenage Boca Juniors defender

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have a scout closely watching the progress of emerging Boca Juniors star Aaron Anselmino, according to a report.

Anselmino has only played five games for Boca’s first team and he is already arousing the interest of some top teams in Europe who have observers present in South America.

According to TyC Sports, scouts from Manchester United and Milan are following him closely, they have already made enquiries about him and are evaluating making an offer. Despite this, the report claims that Boca are calm and do not fear a possible departure in the near future.

Anselmino joined the youth academy at Boca when he was 12 years of age and has worked his way up through the ranks, having just become a fixture of the senior side.

The 18-year-old mainly plays as a centre-back and while he has not been capped by Argentina at youth level, he could be called up if he keeps playing regularly in the first team.

Milan have some doubts about the defensive department going into the summer such as whether Simon Kjaer will stay and if one of the big names might be sold, but given his age and inexperience it feels like Anselmino would be more a signing for the future.

    1. Our scouts do more than just the first team, most of our Primavera players come from other clubs, like Chaka Traore came from Parma.
