Udinese centre-back Nicolò Bertola has admitted that he is excited to face AC Milan, the team that he supports.
After losing the first game of the Serie A season against Cremonese, Milan have responded well by beating Lecce away from home and Bologna at home. They did not concede a goal in either game which certainly boosts confidence, and they sit in fifth place.

However, they go into Saturday’s clash at the Bluenergy Stadium below Udinese in the table. Kosta Runjaic’s side have so far beaten Inter and Pisa, drawing against Cremonese too, to sit on seven points from three games. They also beat Carrerese in the Coppa Italia.
Thus, the Zebre will be hoping to complete an early-season Milanese double. Bertola gave an interview to Tuttosport in which he discussed Saturday’s match against Milan, the team that he grew up a fan of. His words are via MilanNews.
Who was your idol growing up?
“As a Milan fan, it had to be Alessandro Nesta. He’s someone who has always made the difference in a team of champions.”
What will it mean to face Milan as a fan?
“Well, it’ll make me proud to play against them. But today I’m an Udinese player, and Milan is a team like any other.”
How much strength do you have after beating Inter?
“It’s an extra boost, just like the win in Pisa: two games that made us realise the quality we have. Now we just have to continue on this path.”
Who will you swap shirts with on Saturday?
“I don’t know, there will definitely be a queue for Modric’s.”
